The 36th Paris to Chartres Pilgrimage - May 2018

This year the theme of the pilgrimage will be: 'St Joseph, Father and Servant'

In many ways the pilgrimage from ND Paris to ND Chartres is a walking retreat, as pilgrims pray, sing, and listen to prepared meditations. This year we will walk in the company of St. Joseph.

In a world where we are constantly bombarded with noise and distraction, who better to guide us than St Joseph? The great silence of St. Joseph, who utters not a word, points towards his inner life of prayer and devotion. As Cardinal Sarah says: 'silence is the indispensable doorway to the divine'.

St Joseph, model of workers, pray for us!
Notre Dame de Paris, pray for us!
Our Lady of Chartres, pray for us!
Our Lady of Holy Hope, convert us!

Pilgrimage to Chartres 2018

The Irish Chapter, Chapitre St. Patrick, will once again join the Chartres Pilgrimage organised by Notre-Dame de Chrétienté. Our pilgrimage dates are from Friday 18th of May to Tuesday 22nd May.

Irish pilgrims make their own travel arrangements, meeting for the first time in Paris for Mass. The pilgrimage cost is approximately €280 per person, this includes hotel accommodation and dinner in both Paris and Chartres, and the pilgrimage fee. During the course of the pilgrimage pilgrims camp in tents provided at the campsite, soup, water, and bread are provided but pilgrims must bring supplementary food (see : what to bring).
